Win a G3 iPhone! Print E-mail
Wednesday, 02 July 2008 14:52

A fresh breeze, on a beautiful sunny day urges a city walk, would it not? I'm seeing what's new with shops around towns, checking out new bars, and dining out. The Chi Town City never ceases to amaze me. Of course, yesterday was no different.

I decided to whip out my first gen iPhone and take this picture. Maybe a "G3 iPhone" will come out some day and one of us will win it!

Your iPhone just slides in and locks in to place via the serial port, there are no modifications needed and you can remove it at any time.

Are you ready for yet another reason to jailbreak your iPhone?  iControlPad

You read that right, folks.  iControlPad - an iPhone controller with a directional pad, buttons, and it fits on like a case.

Who, besides me, gets pissed off at the D Pad while playing games on your iPhone?  According to http://www.icontrolpad.com/, they have teamed up with iPhone developers to create a serial controller for the iPhone.  According to the site, they will be offering the full source code as well as SDK support.  According to ZodTTD, it will be compatible with his emulators!  Now that's what I like to hear!

The full potential of the iPhone is slowly but surely being unleashed.

E
veryone's been waiting, but here it is - WinPwn 1.0 RC1. Don't forget, it's RC - so there are still a few kinks that need to be worked out. After a long wait and maybe a vacation, it's finally ready to be put to action. I will update shortly with screen shots and links. You can also check out winpwn.com for the download information.

I'm just getting the application booted up now, and I'm checking out the help file. It's very nifty and neat. The first thing on the help file explains the process of Pwning - or, what Pwning is.

What is “Pwning"?

Pwning in relation to this tool is a process that patches the official Apple Bootloader in the iPhone and iPod touch allowing you to circumvent code signing checks so that custom firmware can be run on the iPhone or iPhone touch.

winpwn is an application that automates and simplifies the new method of "Pwning" an iPhone or iPod Touch.

there's more after the break!

First, it is important to understand that none of the todays’ apps will run on 2.0

BigBoss took the time to answer some questions that are pondering everyone's think tanks. What will 2.0 bring and won't all of this jailbreaking stuff be obsolete? Maybe you're curious, and maybe you really want to know - but hey, head over to his blog to read the full article.
